Global Business Innovation Programme – Australia

The UK and Australia share a common language and culture and maintain a long-standing partnership in the realm of defence and security.

14 UK companies are taking part in this Global Business Innovation Programme visit to Australia organised by Innovate UK and delivered by Innovate UK EDGE to explore opportunities within the Australian market and seek future collaboration in the field of cyber security.

Leading the visit will be Georgios Papadakis, Senior Innovation Lead – Digital Security by Design & Cyber Capabilities, Innovate UK. Georgios will be also speaking at the Australia Cyber Conference held in Melbourne from 17 to 19 October 2023.

“I’m excited to be speaking at the Australian Cyber Conference in Melbourne, organised by Australian Information Security Association (AISA), joining renowned leaders across the global cybersecurity landscape. In a world of ever-increasing digital connectivity, the way that cyber security has been chasing flaws and vulnerabilities in products, services and systems has become unsustainable. We need strong technology foundations that can protect software vulnerabilities from exploitation by design. Governments have an important role to play in this transition and I’ll be telling a story about how the UK is leading a step-change through Digital Security by Design for a more secure, safer and resilient digital future”.

Georgios Papadakis, Senior Innovation Lead – Digital Security by Design & Cyber Capabilities, Innovate UK
