These events are designed for those who are interested in new technical approaches to block cyber vulnerabilities from exploitation and for those involved in long term strategic decisions on the use of digital technology.

  • The Roadshow will be stopping at
  • National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park – 21st February for ‘The history of computers’
  • Glasgow Science Centre – 3rd March for ‘Exploring new technologies in cyber security’
  • Celtic Manor, Newport – 8th March for ‘Strengthen the foundations and make the world more secure’
  • The Merchant Hotel, Belfast – 10th March for ‘The future for trusted computers’

The first event is taking place next Monday, 21st February at the National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park. At the inaugural event participants will hear about the Story of Computing, from the first attempts to use machines to solve mathematical problems to the IT which now pervades everyday life. The event will focus on the evolution of computing and why it is so important to look back in order to move forwards.

On Monday attendees will hear from the following speakers:

  • Sir Dermot Turing: The acclaimed author of Prof, a biography of his famous uncle, Alan Turing, The Story of Computing, and most recently X, Y and Z –
